SKY FROM THE MOUTH - Isabel Mueller's first book of poetry, is divided into four parts, corresponding to the four elements: water (by the flows); earth (fur); air (by the voices) and fire (by the lavas).
By the flows is the portrait of feelings, the uterine waters, the ocean, the fluidity. For the skin is the song to sensuality, to Eros. In Voices echoes speech, language, silence. By lavas is transgression, life and death intertwining in the posts of time.
Heaven of mouth is diving and flight; it's cosmos and skin; It is the geometry of the stars and poetry.
Review - Romar Beling
To the delight of those who enjoy good literature, she reveals an inspired author who, at the same time, is in complete control of the composition processes.
Isabel's poetry immediately conquers, with cadence, rhythm, powerful, sensual, sensitive images.
Dividing the work into four parts - inspired, in order, by the four elements: water, earth, air, and fire - creates a beautiful effect, and has been very well explored in the respective metaphors of flows (or exchanges), skins (or touches, sensations), voices (or messages) and lavas (glowing).
It is the dialectic of life, of the universe, in its primordial action.
In a thematic appreciation, the first part expresses anxiety and fullness, represented by diving, the courage to invent, to invest, to seek what is beyond one's own limits, to satiate the soul.
The second part (For the Skins, read by the earth as an inspiring element) is dense in affection and passion.
The third, by the voices, is more rational, cerebral, of philosophical, reflexive implication.
The fourth and last, By Lavas, is human, sensual, with mergers, encounters and reunions with itself and its surroundings.
In stylistic resources, Isabel Mueller naturally resorts to beautiful metaphors and alliterations, which make her listening poetry pleasant and very fluent. It also properly investigates the riddle of creation and the emblematic role that art plays in the writer's life.
In one of the poems in the third part, he catches what this poetic energy can provide: "Something insists on wandering: / ecstasy is a sleeping moment / that poetry wants to wake up."
Isabel's poetry wakes up this instant (this ecstasy) asleep in the reader. Wonderful!
